Dwarf Wolf Snake

The Dwarf Wolf Snake is one of the smallest members of the wolf snake genus Lycodon, found in forested regions of Southeast Asia. Its diminutive size and secretive habits mean it is rarely encountered despite occurring across a fairly wide range.

Like all wolf snakes, it is entirely non-venomous and harmless to people, feeding on small reptiles within leaf litter and forest floor habitats.

Found in lowland and montane rainforest across parts of Southeast Asia, including the Malay Peninsula and neighboring islands. It is closely associated with leaf litter and forest floor debris.

Nocturnal and highly secretive, rarely seen in the open. It is generally docile, relying on concealment rather than defense.

Feeds on small lizards and skinks found within leaf litter. Reproduction is oviparous, with small clutches of eggs typical of its diminutive size.
