Results are suggestions, not expert determinations, and should never be used as the sole basis for any safety or medical decision.

Never rely solely on this app for safety decisions regarding venomous snakes.

5. Disclaimer Agreement

By using Snake Identifier, you also agree to the terms outlined in our AI Identification Disclaimer. The Disclaimer includes important information about the limitations of our AI-powered identifications and of every other piece of information presented on Snake Identifier — including the encyclopedia, reference pages, guides, articles, and community submissions — all of which may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information and must not be relied on as expert, safety, medical, legal, or financial advice. The Disclaimer is an integral part of these Terms, and your use of Snake Identifier is subject to your acceptance of both.

6. Encyclopedia and Reference Content

Snake Identifier may include an encyclopedia, reference pages, guides, articles, and other informational content (“Reference Content”). Reference Content is compiled and generated with the help of automated tools and AI models and is provided for general informational purposes only. It may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information, and it has not been reviewed by qualified experts. We make no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Reference Content or of any other information presented on Snake Identifier, and you agree not to rely on it as a substitute for professional advice or for any decision that could affect your health, safety, property, legal rights, or finances. Images shown with Reference Content may be illustrative rather than exact matches. If you believe something is wrong, please let us know at support@snakeidentifier.com and we will review it.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of images you upload. By uploading images, you grant us a license to process them for identification purposes. Our service, including AI models and software, remains our intellectual property. The full license you grant us is described in the section titled “License Grant to Snake Identifier” below.

8. License Grant to Snake Identifier

By using Snake Identifier and its related apps, websites, and services (the “Services”), you grant to Snake Identifier, its successors, and assigns a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and/or distribute any content you submit, create, or make available through the Services — including without limitation the photos and images you upload for identification; the notes, descriptions, locations, and other text you provide with them; the identifications, descriptions, estimates, and any other output produced by the Services at your direction; any collections, lists, or albums you assemble, including their names and the selection and arrangement of the items they contain; and your profile information, including your username, display name, profile picture, bio, and any links you add — regardless of whether an identification’s or collection’s visibility is public or private. This includes the right to display your uploaded photos and identifications on the community feed, on encyclopedia, species, tag, and search pages, on the websites and apps of Snake Identifier and its affiliates, and in marketing for the Services. For clarity, changing an identification’s or a collection’s visibility from public to private does not revoke or limit the license granted under this section with respect to that identification, that collection, or any content associated with it. The license granted to Snake Identifier remains in effect even after termination of this Agreement by any party, for any reason.

9. Limitation of Liability

Snake Identifier is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on identification results or safety information.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
