The Eyelash Viper is a small but visually striking arboreal pit viper found throughout Central America and into northern South America. Its common name comes from the modified supraocular scales that resemble eyelashes above each eye.
This species displays remarkable color variation, from mottled green and brown forms to bright yellow "golden" morphs, all occurring within the same populations.
